This review is probably going to be on the short but sweet side... and it's probably going to turn into more of a recommendation than a review... But, I'm sure you'll be able to cope with that!

Up until today I hadn't heard of Severed Savior and I only found them because of a link on Severeigns' website. I had a look at Severed Saviors site the first thing I noticed was that it said "Brutality Is The Law". "Brutality Is The Law" is the name of their current album, but it could also describe the four tracks that I've just heard. They are brutal! I like things brutal... The next thing I noticed was that they had toured with Cannibal Corpse last year - whether that's a selling point to you or not, it does show that this band can play to relatively large crowds.

As I mentioned before, the tracks that are available for download are brutal, but they are also littered with lots of time changes which are able to keep the listener interested. My two favourite tracks are "One By One" and "Fuck The Humans". "One By One" is taken from the aforementioned album, "Brutality Is The Law" and it contains a brilliant guitar solo at around the 2 minute mark. The thing that really pulled me into "Fuck The Humans" was the mellow break which comes in at about 2mins 10secs and it brings a completely different feeling to the track. It also calms you down before the next brutal onslaught is unleashed onto you.

So, if you're in the mood for something brutal and a little bit scary, then do yourself and favour and check out this band!
